Why would I pay for a DPC membership if I already have insurance?

Direct primary care (DPC) is different from the typical insurance billing model in that DPC operates like a subscription service to cover primary care services. Patients pay a monthly membership to have access to their personal doctor at any time and for almost all services. So, why would you pay for a membership if you already have insurance?
